Esha Deol recalls slapping a man for touching her inappropriately at film screening

Esha Deol recently recounted a distressing incident that occurred during the 2005 premiere of her film Dus in Pune. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that she had noticed a man harassing her and had promptly removed him from the crowd, slapping him publicly.
In an episode of The Male Feminist, Esha Deol recounted the distressing incident, stating that she could not tolerate such behaviour. She also urged other women not to ignore similar acts and to speak out against them.
She said, “It happened in Pune during the premiere of the film Dus which had Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Zayed Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. So the premiere was there and we were going through the crowd. All the artists were entering one by one when I entered and there were many big and strong bouncers around me too.”
Esha continued, “Despite that, a man from the crowd touched me inappropriately. Something happened to me and my instant reaction was that I held the man’s hand and took him out from the crowd and slapped him.”
During the same podcast, Esha had also disclosed her relationship with her father, Dharmendra, and said that he was slightly orthodox when she was younger. She also revealed that her father wanted her to get married at 18.
